Where Bodhi & Fae began
The lip balms came before almost everything else.
I made the first one for my daughter Penny after noticing that her skin seemed to change alongside everything else going on around her. Illness, weather, stress, big emotions. Her lips and the skin around them were often one of the first places I noticed it.
I wanted something she could reach for that actually cared for the skin, but I became just as interested in what happened around that little moment of care. The familiarity of the tin. The scent. The feeling of applying it. Having something small and comforting there when things felt overwhelming.
That thinking became Bodhi & Fae.
Lip Shield is the one to keep close every day. Soft and familiar, with lemon balm, lavender and Roman chamomile, for lips that need regular care and those moments when you want something gentle to reach for, whether that is before school, during a difficult day or simply when you notice yourself starting to bite or pick.
Lip Saviour is for the moments that feel more urgent. Manuka, peppermint and lavender give it a cooler, fresher feel when lips are uncomfortable, while the stronger sensory experience can give you something immediate to focus on when everything else feels a bit much.
The balms care for the lips. The ritual around them can offer something else entirely: familiarity, a pause, something sensory to come back to when you need it.

Bodhi & Fae was born at a kitchen table, long before the website, the labels, or the jars.
It began with Penny, my daughter, and the recurring flare-ups that appeared on her skin whenever her body was under strain. When nothing we tried seemed to make sense of it, I began reading about traditional herbalism, botanical oils and the relationship between the skin, stress and the nervous system.
There were plenty of late nights, books spread across the table and oils gently warming on the stove. Balm by balm, I began to understand what her skin was communicating rather than simply trying to quieten it.
That curiosity became Bodhi & Fae: botanical skincare created with the skin in mind, and the whole person around it.

More Than Skincare
We believe no one should feel defined, held back, or self‑conscious because of their skin. Skin deserves compassion, and a gentle understanding of what it needs to feel safe and supported.
Children do not need complicated beauty routines, and adults do not need another list of products to keep up with. Often, simple care used consistently is enough.

Every skincare formulation is independently safety assessed and handmade in small batches in Kent. Ingredients are chosen with intention, packaging is kept as thoughtful as possible, and no product is asked to make promises it cannot honestly keep.
